Ceramic Bowl & Plate Set
A beautifully coordinated two-piece set that combines rich color, functional design, and the unmistakable character of handmade pottery.
Created by Long Island artist Jan Barrett, this striking two-piece ceramic set includes a handcrafted bowl and coordinating plate, designed to be enjoyed together while each piece retains its own individual beauty.
The bowl features a gorgeous deep purple and plum glaze with subtle variations of violet, burgundy, blue, cream, and earthy tones. Decorative glaze accents flow naturally down the sides, creating an organic pattern that changes around the entire piece. A darker glazed rim beautifully frames the bowl and adds depth and contrast to the design.
The coordinating plate echoes the same rich purple palette and glaze details, creating a beautifully unified presentation. Used together, the plate provides an elegant foundation for the bowl while also giving the set a distinctive layered appearance.
Because the pieces are individually shaped, glazed, and kiln-fired by hand, the variations in color and glaze are part of their character. These natural differences are what distinguish true handcrafted pottery from mass-produced ceramics.
Perfect for adding something special to your table, this set combines everyday function with original ceramic artistry. It would also make a wonderful handmade gift for someone who appreciates pottery that is genuinely unique.
